I have come to really enjoy Jenny Hale’s work. Her writing is so fun and sweet. She has a way of creating characters that stick with you even when it’s months after you’ve finished the book. I knew this book was coming out around the start of the holiday season, so I snatched it up as soon as I could. However I wanted to save it and read it around Christmas so it would be that much more special. This story is about a lovely mom Leah and daughter Sadie who have dreamed of living at their family’s plantation Evergreen Hill. However when their Nan unexpectedly dies, their plans have been altered and they now share ownership with a man that Leah grew up with. I absolutely loved this story. I loved how this is the third book of Hale’s that I have read and it is still as family oriented as the first one. (I see a trend with Grandmothers throughout her books!!) I look forward to her next books that will be released. If you are sad that Christmas is over, and you want more then pick this book up and relish in the holiday spirit a little while longer.
DISCLAIMER: I received an early copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my HONEST opinion.
