If you scroll through my reviews of 2016 you will find my review of the first book in The Double S Ranch series, Back in the Saddle. I fell in love with that book and was so excited for the release of the second book in October 2016. I finally got my hands on a copy and dove right back into the amazing world of Grays Glen Washington. I love the Stafford family so being back with these characters was so fun. In the first book we follow Colt Stafford who comes home to his family’s ranch, while in the second book we follow his younger brother Nick Stafford and his two daughters who were abandoned by their high class mother three years prior. His oldest daughter is lashing out and ends up in some sticky situations so Nick finally takes the advice of everyone, and takes his daughters to see therapist Dr. Elsa Andreas. Elsa teaches the girls coping mechanisms and helps them move past their mothers leaving. Nick grows as a Christian and man and has one of the greatest character developments I’ve read along with his brother Colt. He faces many unwelcome thoughts from his past and throughout this Nick and Elsa develop a relationship that is sure to hit some rocky roads in the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the first one or loves a good family oriented read.

p.s. I am totally fangirling for the third book that is due to come out in 2017. I want more of the Stafford family and the Double S Ranch.
