The Glorious Heresies- Lisa McInerny

TRIGGER WARNING FOR THIS BOOK. THERE ARE A LOT OF HARD TOPICS THAT TAKE PLACE. The plot of this story is what instantly caught my eye. You have murder, love, and drugs all in one book. There was never a dull moment in this book. Between prostitutes, drug lords, and killers you are set for a raw and emotional story from the beginning. I really enjoyed some of the characters (Ryan and Karine mainly) at first, but by the end of the book I did not care for any of the characters. You learn about the life of different people, and how their back story will affect their future. Each character is somehow intertwined with the others. I loved the setting of this book and how it was in Ireland during a recession. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It flowed like a movie in some parts grasping your attention and not letting go. I hope one day this is turned into a movie because I believe it would do really well.
