Summer At Oyster Bay by Jenny Hale
Overall rating: 4/5 stars

Let me start off by saying I thoroughly enjoy all of Hales books that I have read so far. She has a way of telling a story that makes it seem so realistic. Once you get into the story, which is usually at page one, you cannot put the book down. One of the things I love most about Summer at Oyster Bay, is that it is such a light read that you can take with you on a trip and enjoy. One problem I find I have with certain summer reads is that it seems like every story involves instant love, I praise this book for not being one of the traditional instant love stories that we get way to much of now days. I loved that this book really captured some of the heart of what it means to be born and raised in the south (like i was). The only issue I found with the story came up with the characters. I just could not get attached to the characters like I did with some of her others. Seeing how that is not a big deal in my eyes, I would recommend this book to anyone who has read her other books and enjoyed them, or anyone in search of a fun summer read whether you’re on vacation or staying home.
